- Former X Factor finalist Gabrielle Carrington, 29, was initially charged with attempted murder following the incident on Argyll Street, Soho, on April 19.
- The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the charge against Carrington will be upgraded to murder following Ms Zakrzewska's death.
- Carrington also faces accusations of dangerous driving, being nearly twice the drink-drive limit, and causing injuries to three other individuals, including a 58-year-old man with life-changing injuries.
- Carrington, who did not enter any pleas, is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on May 19, while police have urged the public to avoid speculation and sharing graphic footage.
