Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden 'lucky' to have first child since double miscarriage tragedy

Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and his fiancee Danielle Parkinson said they were lucky to have a baby following their double miscarriage trauma.

Brian shared a black and white photo of the new addition to his family on his social media on Sunday evening.

In the picture, Danielle in hoodie and tracksuit bottoms can be seen from behind as she pushes their baby girl in a pram.

Brian captioned the cute picture: "Mammy, Daddy and baby out for our first walk together. It's been the best week of our life @daniparky."

The couple revealed their baby joy in November last year when Danielle told OK Magazine : "We're due on 14 May. But they said normally with your first baby it can be early."

Their newborn was conceived through IVF and came after Danielle tragically suffered two miscarriages before falling pregnant.

Danielle said at the time: "It does [feel like a miracle] but I feel awful saying that, as I've had so many messages on Instagram.

"The IVF community is so lovely and I've heard real traumatic stories from people who have been trying for 10 years, people who have had eight-plus miscarriages, so I feel we got lucky on our third attempt."

Brian who also has two children Molly, 19, and 18-year-old Lilly-Sue with ex-wife Kerry Katona had revealed his delight of having another girl in January.

Sharing a scan he said: "Hello to our little angel! We're having a GIRL!!!!!!!!"

Danielle had previously said it too k a couple of years for the couple to have a baby during an Instagram live,

She said: "My self and Brian have been together for four and a half years now.

"A year into our relationship we decided to start trying for a baby, without thinking too much about it, just the odd ovulation test here and there.

"After a year and a half we realised we may need some help. We made an appointment with our doctor to start the IVF process about two years ago.

"We were told all the worst news, given worst case scenarios but you just have to keep going and trying everything you can.

"Getting your body and your head in the best physical health is the most important thing... if it's something you really want you've just got to throw everything at it."
