Jan. 14--Chris Mullin, the Hall of Fame basketball player and former NBA executive, has made a trade in the Southland, selling one condominium unit and buying another in the same Coronado high-rise.
On the sell side, the former Golden State Warriors star parted ways with a 1,400-square-foot condo for $1.5 million. The corner-terrace unit, with an open floor plan, ocean views and 400 square feet of patio space, originally came on the market in 2013 with an asking price $1.55 million.
Pete Slaughter of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices was the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Estela Williamson of the Coronado Shores Company, represented the buyer in the sale.
On the buy side, Mullin paid $1.1 million for an ocean-view unit of about 1,200 square feet. The condo has a kitchen with a breakfast bar, one bedroom and two bathrooms. A telescoping glass wall in the living room centers on Coronado Beach.
The property listed for sale in July at $1.2 million, records show. Julie Goodwin of Del Coronado Realty was the listing agent. Pete Slaughter represented Mullin in the sale.
Mullin, 51, played 16 seasons in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers, making five straight All-Star teams from 1989-1993. He is currently an advisor to Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive and general manager Pete D'Alessandro.
