Former Voice of Ireland star Andrew Mahony (Mann) to be laid to rest this week following tragic death

Former Voice of Ireland star Andrew Mahony (Mann) will be laid to rest this week following his tragic death.

The musician, whose ex-girlfriend Alli MacDonnell, passed away just months earlier, died suddenly on May 18.

The pair were parents to two-year-old daughter Siena Rose.

Andrew rose to prominence after starring on the second series of The Voice of Ireland, and released his debut EP Middle of the Dancefloor in 2013.

A funeral notice on RIP.ie reads: "Andrew, much loved son of Ger and Maree, loving dad of Jacob and Siena Rose.

"He will be very sadly missed by his Mum and Dad, children, sisters Carmel and Lynda, brothers Peter, John and Daniel, their partners Geoff, Mark, Ciara, Robin and Amy, nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins, relatives and a very large circle of friends."

Removal will take place on Thursday morning to the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Churchview Road, Killiney arriving for 11am Requiem Mass with funeral immediately afterwards to Shanganagh Cemetery in Shankill.

Andrew's relatives have requested family flowers only please.

Donations, if desired, may be made to Pieta House. A donation box will be at the rear of the church.
