Former Vikings QB Tommy Kramer thinks team should pick offensive lineman with 1st 3 picks

The Vikings need to address the offensive. You know that, I know that, Rick Spielman knows that (we hope, at least)

So does former Vikings quarterback Tommy Kramer.

Per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, Kramer thinks the Vikings should address the offensive line with their first three picks in this week’s draft.

That’s aggressive. Taking an offensive lineman in the first round with pick No. 18 seems likely. Taking two in the first three rounds could happen. But all three? That seems unlikely considering the team also needs to address some other positions, such as safety, linebacker, wide receiver, running back and tight end.

The Vikings have signed Josh Kline this offseason, and he’ll likely start at guard. But that’s not enough.

If the Vikings do take Kramer’s advice, their current quarterback, Kirk Cousins, will likely be very happy.

Kramer spent 13 seasons with the Vikings and was sacked a combined 70 times in 1985 and 1986. He knows a good offensive line can make all the difference.
