Former Vikings LB Nick Vigil signing with Cardinals

After a one-and-done season with the Minnesota Vikings, linebacker Nick Vigil is heading to the desert to join the Arizona Cardinals, per David Canter of GSE Worldwide.

Vigil, 28, was one of the unsung heroes for the Vikings defense last season. He started in 12 games and compiled 85 tackles, one sack and four tackles for a loss.

It was a solid season considering he was already coming off a previous one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the Vikings’ Week 2 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, Vigil picked off quarterback Kyler Murray and returned it to the house for a 38-yard touchdown.

Now, he’ll be standing on the same sideline with Murray in an effort to help get the Cardinals back on track after they imploded in the wild card round of the NFL Playoffs last season.

The signings of outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith and former Cardinals linebacker Jordan Hicks has the Vikings sitting comfortably, as Vigil looks to make his mark on his third football team in three years.
