Former President of the United States Donald Trump has said that “if it was not for him Americans may not have got the beautiful vaccine shots for five years – if ever,” in a stunning statement today.
Trump, who again referred to the Covid-19 virus as the “China Virus”, spent most of 2020 downplaying the impact of the virus, despite the growing number of confirmed cases and deaths.
President Biden’s administration flatly denied Mr Trump’s claims and said that when they came into office, the previous administration has left them “with no roadmap to distribute the vaccine across the country.”
According to the latest data figures, there have been 29.2 million cases of Covid-19 with 528,000 confirmed deaths related to the disease.

Since his administration took office, President Joe Biden has been attempting to make good on his promise of seeing 100 million vaccinations administered in the US during the first 100 days of his presidency.
Figures show that in the US, there are an average 2.17 million vaccinations administered a day, leading President Biden to claim that he will meet his target “weeks ahead of the deadline.”
Data from the New York Times show that 19% of all Americans have received at least one shot of the Covid-19 vaccine, including countries with agreements for Covid-19 vaccinations from the US.
Palau and American Samoa have the highest percentage of vaccinations administered with 31% of their populations having received at least one shot.
New Mexico, Connecticut and Alaska follow with 26% of their populations having at least on vaccine shot administered.
On the opposite end, Mirconesia and Puerto Rico have the lowest percentage vaccinated, with 10% and 13% of their populations receiving the first dose, respectively.
