Former television host, model, businesswoman and Univision star Ana Patricia Gamez broke her silence about her divorce from Luis Carlos Martínez, her husband of 11 years and father of her two children, Giuglietta and Gael.
Gamez, who became known as the first winner of ' Nuestra Belleza Latina,' the beauty pageant/reality show on the Univision network, published a message on her Instagram Stories after Top News revealed the end of her relationship with Martínez, whom she met through fellow host Karla Martínez, when they both worked on Despierta América.
Although she has been away from the cameras since the end of the American version of Enamorándonos , which she hosted with Chilean Rafael Araneda, Ana Patricia maintains a close relationship with her audience through social media and, perhaps for that reason, she chose Instagram to write this message:
"Over time, people and stages change, and with them, so do paths. Our relationship as a couple came to an end; our paths part, but there are bonds that are eternal: that of being parents to two beautiful children.
You have witnessed many stages of my life, and as always, I will continue to strive to move forward, focused on the well-being of my children, my own, and my work. Thank you for so much love and respect, Ana."

Despite the conciliatory tone of the message, the divorce petition makes it clear that the legal separation between Ana Patricia and Luis Carlos Martínez is anything but amicable. She indirectly accuses him of fraud and even of creating a "hostile environment" in the home.
Here are the most important points:
- The parenting plan must designate the parents as parents with shared parental responsibility for the minor children, as this is in the best interest of the minor children. The parties shall establish a parenting plan and time-sharing schedule that best promotes their needs and general well-being. If the parties are unable to agree on a parenting plan that specifies a time-sharing schedule and allocates responsibility for daily tasks related to the minor children, including medical care, school matters, and other activities, such a plan shall be developed by this Honorable Court after due consideration of the facts enumerated in the Florida Statute. The parties have a legal obligation to support the minor children in accordance with the Florida Child Support Guidelines, retroactively and continuously. The parties must share the costs associated with the children's nanny, private school tuition, tutoring, extracurricular activities, and summer activities.
- The wife requests an unequal distribution of marital property, given the efforts and material contributions she has made to acquire and maintain it. The Court should consider the unequal distribution of property in favor of the wife if the husband is found to have engaged in waste or misappropriation of marital funds, or to have incurred significant debts that do not contribute to the marriage.
- The Wife entrusted the Husband with the management of her business finances, but suspects that he has concealed her income and transferred or withdrawn funds from accounts for his personal benefit, which must be substantiated. The Wife seeks full control of her business, requests that the Husband be barred from any involvement, and requests exemption from any standstill order issued by the Court.
- The Wife's contract with Univision has ended, and her income has been significantly reduced. The parties have enjoyed a comfortable standard of living, and the Husband is able to maintain his lifestyle, but the Wife lacks the financial resources to continue raising the children as she once did. The Husband may contribute to the Wife's support during these proceedings and after the dissolution of the marriage.
- The husband has the ability to meet his financial needs, but the wife lacks it. The wife needs the husband's financial support to cover her living expenses retroactively, temporarily, and permanently, and the husband has the ability to pay her support. The wife requests that the court order the husband to pay her temporary, rehabilitative, lump-sum, or permanent alimony.
- The husband must also purchase life insurance that names the wife as an irrevocable beneficiary, in an amount that guarantees the payment of alimony for as long as he has the financial obligation to support her. The husband has the financial resources to pay the premiums for this life insurance policy.
- The wife has resided and continues to reside in the marital home and cannot reside elsewhere with her minor children. The husband has turned the home into a hostile environment where it is no longer in the best interest of the parties and the children to continue residing together. The wife requests exclusive use and possession of said property permanently.
