Former Ulster and Ireland rugby star Tommy Bowe welcomes baby boy with wife Lucy Whitehouse

Former Ulster and Ireland rugby star Tommy Bowe and his wife Lucy Whitehouse have welcomed their second child, a little boy.

The couple are already proud parents to daughter Emma, who was born in 2017.

The Monaghan man who is now a presenter for Eir Sport, took to Instagram to share a photo of the newborn tot, revealing that his name is Jamie.

He wrote: "Little Jamie Bowe arrived safe and sound this morning. Big sis is very excited!!"

Tommy's friends and followers showered him with congratulations, with Simon Zebo writing: "Congrats brother."

Former Munster and Ireland scrum-half Peter Stringer added: "Yes pal, congrats" while Leinster's Rob Kearney wrote: "Big congrats Tom! X".

Worcester Warriors player Ashley Beck also offered his well wishes.

Welsh native Lucy and Tommy first met in 2011 when the Monaghan man was playing for the Wasps in Wales.

At the time Lucy said: ”I think he likes the fact that I don’t know too much about rugby myself, it’s a bit of a distraction for him.”

Gorgeous Lucy, a former Miss Wales, has given up her former career as a model and is now a nurse.
