Former UGA WR AJ Green medically cleared after toe surgery

Former Georgia wide receiver AJ Green missed seven games last season for the Cincinnati Bengals before eventually shutting it down. He received toe surgery in December, making it two out of his last three seasons he’s appeared in no more than 10 games.

However, the toe injury is behind him, Green told Joe Danneman of Fox 19 while hosting a football camp. The former No. 4 overall pick is now fully cleared medically ahead of camp this summer.

This timetable was on par with what Green had originally stated. He spent OTAs working on the rehab field, where he ran routes and drills but never fully getting involved with the team.

Green is entering a contract year with Cincinnati, and the Bengals have made it clear they want to get a deal made to keep the former Bulldog in town.
