Former UGA players receive rookie ratings for Madden 20

The Georgia football team saw seven of its players get selected in this year’s NFL Draft back in April and three more as undrafted free agents, including cornerback Deandre Baker at No. 32 overall.

Recently, the folks at EA Sports compiled a list of player ratings for this year’s rookies in the upcoming video game.

Here’s where the first-year NFL Dawgs came in at.

  • Deandre Baker, DB, New York Giants: 71 overall
  • Mecole Hardman, WR, Kansas City Chiefs: 70
  • Riley Ridley, WR, Chicago Bears: 69
  • D’Andre Walker, OLB, Tennessee Titans: 68
  • Isaac Nauta, TE, Detroit Lions: 67
  • Lamont Gaillard, OL, Arizona Cardinals: 66
  • Terry Godwin, WR, Carolina Panthers: 65
  • Jonathan Ledbetter, DE, Miami Dolphins: 63
  • Elijah Holyfield, RB, Carolina Panthers: 63

Though they may seem low, it’s best to remember that Madden has revamped its rating style for this year’s game and is giving rookies the short end of the stick to start off.

The highest rookie, Quennian Williams, comes in at 88 overall in rating, to give some perspective of the difficulties for first-year players.
