Former UGA left tackle Tyler Catalina signs with Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have signed former Georgia Bulldog and Rhode Island offensive lineman Tyler Catalina. Catalina went undrafted before starting his NFL career with the Washington Redskins. Catalina will try to make the Panthers’ roster just days after joining the team. The Panthers face the New England Patriots in week three of the preseason in what should be Catalina’s first audition for his new team.

The Panthers signed Catalina after placing two players on IR. It’s been a busy month for Catalina, who was waived by the Redskins on July 31st and then signed and later waived by the Minnesota Vikings. Hopefully Catalina can make the most of his situation and make either the Carolina roster or their practice squad.
