Former UGA LB Davin Bellamy tweets he always preferred Eason over Fromm

Former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm has been under fire lately following a tweet that exposed his ideas on gun suppressors and who should be able to purchase them.

In the tweet, it showed Fromm sent a text that said gun suppressors should be made expensive so only “elite white people” can afford them.

Following the tweet, former Georgia wide receiver Terry Godwin tweeted that he “lost all respect” for Fromm. A number of Georgia players, current and former, also shared their thoughts via Twitter.

Former Georgia outside linebacker Davin Bellamy sent a tweet about Fromm on Saturday, saying he always preferred Jacob Eason over Fromm.

Eason started at Georgia in 2016 and then was benched for the 2017 season after injuring himself in the opening game. Eason transferred after the 2017 season and Fromm remained the starter at UGA for the next two seasons.

One player who defended Fromm is current Georgia defensive lineman Malik Herring, who has been friends with Fromm and his family for over a decade.
