Former UGA football coach Mark Richt shares least favorite visiting locker room – You’ll love his answer

Former Georgia football coach Mark Richt joined Mark Packer’s show ‘Off Campus’ on ESPNU Radio Tuesday.

After LSU’s controversial experience with air conditioning at Texas last Saturday, the longtime Bulldog coach was asked what is the worst opposing locker room to prepare for a game in.

To little surprise, Richt answered with Bobby Dodd Stadium, where he had not lost a game until last season.

“Going to Georgia Tech was never fun, period. You just hated being on their campus.”

The former Georgia and Miami coach posted a 9-1 record on the road against Georgia Tech, which blew away his overall winning percentages at each school.

Given the intimacy and age of Bobby Dodd Stadium, we are not surprised by Richt’s answer. Georgia Tech also seems like the team that would hold a grudge against its opponents and try to make their experience as miserable as possible.

The Yellow Jackets further demonstrated this on Monday, by announcing that ticket prices would increase based on demand for the 2019 edition of Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate.
