Former UFC featherweight Jeremy Kennedy joins Bellator roster

Jeremy Kennedy has joined another major MMA promotion.

The 28-year-old UFC and PFL veteran has inked a deal with Bellator, MMA Junkie learned Thursday morning. No date or opponent has been scheduled for his debut yet.

After compiling a 3-1 record in the UFC, the Canadian prospect opted not to renew his contract with the UFC and instead sign with Bahraini-based promotion Brave CF. Kennedy (15-2-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) fought twice under the Brave CF banner, picking up back-to-back knockouts over Danyel Pilo and Marat Magomedov.

Kennedy then took part in PFL’s 2019 featherweight tournament, making it all the way to the semi-finals before being eliminated in a submission loss to Daniel Pineda last October. That loss was eventually turned into a no-contest after Pineda was flagged for having an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio in his system.
