Former TOWIE star Sam Faiers left mortified on flight as partner disturbs passengers by shouting

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers has revealed how a recent flight home from a holiday in Abu Dhabi didn't go as smoothly as she had hoped - and it wasn't because of her three children. Sam, 32, was left mortified by her long-term partner Paul Knightley shouting during the flight.

Sam travelled to the United Arab Emirates with her man Paul and their three children Paul, seven, Rosie, five, and their baby boy Edward, who they welcomed in May. Sam explained to her sister Billie on their Billie And Sam Show podcast that there was a stressful moment on the way home.

She said Paul got carried away while watching a football match, and a "fuming" fellow passenger was shaking their head in frustration. She recalled: "There was a man next to me that was kind of shaking his head, but he was actually not shaking his head at Edward he was shaking his head at big Paul.

"On the way home, Arsenal was on. It was quite a big game and you can watch it live from the flight. And I think it was 2-0 down or something and we got two goals. So it was like a really mad, intense game.

"Every time we were scoring, Paul was making this really loud shout and going 'yeah, go on, get in!'. In the end I told him that he had to stop doing that."

She added: "People were trying to relax and the man next to us was fuming about it. He was shaking his head and I think it made him jump."

Sam has since taken to her Instagram to say how flying with babies can make you feel "self conscious" and thanking Etihad staff for their support. She said baby Edward, who is teething, only slept for an hour out of a seven and a half hour flight.

"The truth is going on holiday with small children is tough especially with a crawling, teething baby," she wrote. "We have had the most wonderful time in the sunshine, swimming everyday, exploring, sightseeing & eating lots of ice cream but it’s exhausting, remember nobody said it was easy.

"As for the flight home Edward slept maybe 1 hour out of 7.5 safe to say I was doing everything I could to keep him entertained without crying. Thank you to the lovely staff who were very accommodating and kind - flying with babies can make you feel so conscious, so thank you @etihad for allowing me to wander about in the kitchen area for a change of scenery."
