Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood insists that the club must do all they can to retain their services of Christian Eriksen and two other players who could leave.
Whilst the Premier League transfer deadline has shut, the European market remains open and that could mean departures for Eriksen, Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld.
Rose has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain but it's Eriksen's future which is in most doubt at the moment, with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid linked with the 27-year-old's services.
Sherwood, for one, is adamant that Spurs most retain the trio despite the signings of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovanni Lo Celso (initial loan from Real Betis), Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke (loaned back to Leeds United).
"I hope Danny (Rose) is still there when the window closes. I want this window to close now. Eriksen, Alderweireld and Rose need to stay," Sherwood told Sky Sports.
"I don't care who you bring in, I wouldn't want to swap any of them for Eriksen.
"Eriksen is all about winning not money. If he feels he can win silverware and an offer comes up, I think he'll leave. My gut feeling says he will not leave in this window, though."
