Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane believes that his old club face the risk of losing midfield dynamo Christian Eriksen before the closure of the European transfer window.
Keane made the claim after watching Spurs suffer their of the season on Sunday afternoon, suffering a shock 1-0 home reverse to Newcastle United.
Eriksen has been subject of interest from some of football’s biggest clubs this summer, including the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
But with the European window still open for just over another week and Eriksen showing no signs of penning a new deal with Mauricio Pochettino’s side, Spurs may have to prepare themselves for life without the Denmark international.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the loss to Newcastle, Keane, a pundit on Super Sunday, said: "I have got a feeling he probably could go. (Mauricio) Pochettino’s interview after the game showed he wasn’t happy.
"It’s clear there are a few problems in the dressing room with a few players that either want to leave or are up (contracts) at the end of the season. It’s up to the club to sort out that situation.
"It’s going to be a long 10 days.”
Eriksen came on as a 62nd minute substitute against the Magpies, meaning he has started just one of Tottenham’s opening three Premier League games this term.
