Former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen scores from a CORNER for Inter Milan in Coppa Italia semi-final

Tottenham fans have long been divided over Christian Eriksen's abilities from set-pieces due to his varied skillset.

While the Denmark international has been one of Europe's most accomplished free-kick takers in recent years, the 28-year-old was often criticised during his time in north London for his poor delivery from corners.

But the midfielder, now playing in the Serie A for Inter Milan after his transfer in the January transfer window, found a way to silence his doubters once and for all by scoring directly from a corner.

Eriksen was selected to start Inter's Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Napoli, with the Nerazzurri trailing 1-0 from the first tie in February.

Just two minutes into the game, Eriksen proved just how crucial his dead-ball abilities can be for his new club.

In front of the empty San Paolo stadium, he took a corner from the left and whipped in a teasing ball that caught Napoli stopper David Ospina by surprise.

The Colombian goalkeeper struggled to react in time and with the ball already heading for the far corner, could only watch in agony as it flew through his legs and into the net.

Even with the Premier League on hiatus and Eriksen a few thousand miles away in Italy, it seems he can still find a way to keep Spurs fans happy by getting the better of an ex-Arsenal player.
