Former Tottenham midfielder agrees with Christian Eriksen about Harry Kane

Jamie O'Hara has hit back at claims that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is no longer world-class.

This bold statement was made by talkSPORT host and pundit Tony Cascarino after watching the England captain turn in back-to-back below-par performances against Iceland and Denmark during the international break.

The reason behind his claim is that Kane has lost a step due to a number of injury setbacks.

Tottenham transfer window verdict so far

"Harry's been an incredible goalscorer and he's quite clearly England's best striker, but is he as good as what he was three years ago? No he’s not," Cascarino said.

"Harry's had bad injuries. He’s had a number of ankle issues to deal with. He's had injuries every year. The tendon in his hamstring was the same as Michael Owen had.

"It's a big problem."

However, O'Hara doesn't agree with the former Chelsea and Republic of Ireland striker.

"For me, Harry Kane is still a world-class striker" the former Spurs midfielder said on the talkSPORT Breakfast. "He’s only 27, he’s in his prime.

"He had a bad injury last season; we’ve seen in the All or Nothing documentary how bad that hamstring injury was and it takes time to come back from that.

"After he had the lockdown off, he came back sharp and he looked all right.

"You talk about the England games where he looked fatigued, but those games were just a waste of time in my opinion.

"I think he’s still got so much to offer and for me he’s still worth £150m."

One person who O'Hara will agree with regarding Kane is another ex-Spurs midfielder in Christian Eriksen.

In one of the latest installments of Tottenham's #AllorNothingSpurs documentary, transfers is the main focus and the January 2011 window where £225m was spent in the Premier League sees Eriksen make a statement about Kane that all Spurs fans will love.

"That's Harry's right foot, £200m," Eriksen stated.
