Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino names Liverpool star as third best player in the Premier League

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino believes Liverpool's Roberto Firmino is one of the three best players in the Premier League.

Firmino has scored 77 goals in 235 games since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2015 and has established himself as a key component of Jurgen Klopp's champions elect.

And Pochettino believes he's one of the standout stars of English football, along with two players from Liverpool's rivals, Manchester City.

Pochettino, who was sacked by Tottenham and replaced with Jose Mourinho earlier this season, also named Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero.

"[Kevin] De Bruyne, one. [Sergio] Aguero. Another?" the Argentine said in an interview with Sky Sports.

"De Bruyne is going to be unfair, I don't know what I can tell you, [Roberto] Firmino, maybe? Yes.

"But there are hundreds of players I can describe."
