Most know former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kevin Dyson for his famous role in the Music City Miracle.
But now that he’s opened a new chapter in his life beyond football, others will begin to know him for something far different — this time in the school system.
On Friday, Dyson was named the principal of Grassland Middle School in Williamson County, Tennesseee.
He had previously served as the interim principal at Grassland before being permanently named to the position by Interim Superintendent Jason Golden.
Dyson originally began his career in education in 2005, after his retirement from the NFL.
“Grassland Middle School was built with a strong foundation and rich traditions, and I am humbled to receive the opportunity to lead GMS to greater heights,” Dyson said of the new opportunity.
Golden and many other staff members look forward to seeing what Dyson can do for the school moving forward.
“Teaching and learning matter at Grassland, and we look forward to Dr. Dyson leading this great school.”
