Former Titans TE Delanie Walker plans to play in 2021

Former Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker isn’t done playing football just yet, but don’t expect to see him on the field in 2020.

After dealing with injury the past two seasons that limited him to just eight games, Walker remains a free agent after the Titans cut him this past offseason.

But this isn’t the end of the road for Walker. The veteran was a guest on “The Pat McAfee Show” and revealed that he’s taking the year off to let his body heal and is looking to come back and play for a team in 2021.

“I’ve been telling teams I’m chilling, I’m taking this time off to let my body heal, and they know what I can do,” Walker explained. “I’ll come back next year strong, faster and healthier, so that’s the plan.”

Walker, who is always in phenomenal shape, says he’s still working out regularly. In fact, he had just gotten done working out prior to the interview.

So, how does Walker spend his free time while he isn’t on the field or working out? He says he enjoys powerboating and watching “Cops.”

The veteran tight end, who spent seven seasons with the Titans after starting his career with the San Francisco 49ers, will turn 37 next August but should have no issue finding a job as long as he’s healthy.
