Former Titans QB Vince Young loses part-time job at Texas

Ex-Titan Vince Young’s rap sheet just seems to keep getting longer.

This week, Texas fired the former quarterback from a part-time job in light of his poor performance and failure to maintain proper communication with his superiors.

The March 1 firing letter says he was let go for “not demonstrating significant and sustained improvement in the performance of (his) job responsibilities and failing to maintain standards of conduct suitable and acceptable to the university.”

The move to fire young comes quickly after his second drunken-driving arrest within a three-year time period on Feb. 4.

The letter was acquired by the Associated Press through an open records request, and also shows a number of job warnings dating all the way back to 2017.

The former signal-caller’s file wasn’t all negative, though, as it was filled with good performance reviews as well.

Young has declined to release any comment on the situation.
