Former Titans LB Steven Johnson is making a name for himself in the AAF

Now two weeks into the action of the newly formed Alliance of American Football, multiple former Titans are getting a second chance to prove what they can do on the field.

One of these players is former Titans linebacker Steven Johnson.

Johnson, who is now with the Arizona Hotshots, was originally claimed off waivers from the Denver Broncos prior to the 2015 NFL season. He saw action in all 16 regular season games for the team that year, but ultimately parted ways with the team, signing a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on March 25, 2016.

Now, Johnson is making far more of an impact with the new league than he ever did in Nashville.

In Week 2, Johnson was a leader on the Arizona defense with six tackles in the 20-18 win over the Memphis Express.

The performance marks Johnson’s second in which he led the unit, as he totaled seven tackles and also came up with an interception in Arizona’s 38-22 victory over the Salt Lake Stallions in Week 1.

Johnson and the Hotshots will hope to improve to an overall record of 3-0 as they take on the Salt Lake on the road on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.
