Former Thunder guards Corey Brewer and Raymond Felton to attend Rockets minicamp

Raymond Felton said in April that he would love to return to Oklahoma City for a third season.

The possibility of that looked unlikely when the Thunder brought in Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander through trades in July.

It looks really unlikely now.

Felton spent two seasons with Oklahoma City before becoming a free agent this summer. The 14-year-veteran played sporadically this season for the Thunder. He began the season as a contributor in the rotation but fell out of favor for most of December and January.

The 34-year-old Felton played for most of the playoffs against the Portland Trail Blazers, averaging just 2.2 points in five appearances. He scored a series-high eight points in Game 4.

After a couple of months on the market, sources say former Thunder guard Raymond Felton will attend Rockets’ minicamp.

Joining him in Las Vegas will also be former Thunder guard Corey Brewer.

Brewer hasn’t played for Oklahoma City since the 2017-18 season. He appeared in 18 regular-season games with the Thunder that year, and averaged 10.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 34.3 percent from three-point range.

Brewer bounced around the NBA last year, playing a total of 31 games between both Philadelphia and Sacramento.
