Former Texans WR Demaryius Thomas involved in single-car accident

Former Houston Texans wide receiver Demaryius Thomas suffered minor injuries in a vehicle accident early Saturday morning in downtown Denver.

According to a police report obtained by the Denver Post, Thomas was the driver in a rollover crash that sent him, a male passenger and a female passenger to a local hospital. According to the report, the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, though the woman’s injuries were listed as possibly serious.

Denver police responded to the accident at around 12:20 a.m. Police said Thomas lost control of the vehicle, which rolled and come to a stop on a grassy median. No charges or arrested have been made, according to Denver police, who don’t believe drugs or alcohol played a part in the accident.

The Texans released Thomas on Feb. 12. At the trade deadline in 2018, the club traded a 2019 fourth-round pick and swapped seventh-round picks with the Denver Broncos to acquire him. Thomas appeared in seven games for Houston, catching 23 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns before a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 16.
