Former Texans tight end Ryan Griffin has misdemeanor charges from arrest dismissed

Former Houston Texans tight end Ryan Griffin had his misdemeanor public intoxication and vandalism cases dismissed Friday in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to court records via the Houston Chronicle, the 29-year-old was ordered to pay $195 in court costs following a settlement conference before judge Melissa Blackburn related to his April 27 arrest where Griffin allegedly broke a window at the Hotel Indigo.

Griffin was at the advent of his final year of a three-year contract worth $9 million, and the Texans released Griffin weeks later. The club drafted San Diego State tight end Kahale Warring in Round 3 of the 2019 NFL draft, the very night of Griffin’s incident.

The former tight end from Connecticut produced 24 catches for 305 yards in 2018. During his six seasons with the Texans, Griffin caught 136 passes for 1,491 yards and seven touchdowns.
