Former Swansea City, Liverpool and Sunderland striker Fabio Borini's career just took another twist

Former Swansea City striker has joined Turkish side Fatih Karagümrük.

The Italian had been without a club since leaving Hellas Verona in the summer.

Steve Cooper's side considered making a swoop for the frontman - who netted six goals in 12 appearances for the Swans during his loan spell from Chelsea in the latter half of the 2010/11 campaign.

Swansea even held talks with Borini late on in the summer transfer window, and given that the ex-Italy international was a free agent, he could have joined after deadline day.

But a move never materialised, with Swansea opting against making a formal offer to their former player.

And almost exactly two months after deadline day, Borini finally found himself a new club.

Fatih Karagümrük become the ninth club of Borini's career.

He started out at Chelsea before having spells with Swansea, Parma, Roma, Liverpool, Sunderland, AC Milan and most recently Hellas Verona.
