Former Swansea City academy coach Cameron Toshack has joined Cypriot outfit Pafos FC as head coach.
, with the club confirming on the website that he had departed.
He has now been handed the reins of 10th-placed Pafos on an 18-month contract.
Their current squad includes ex-Crystal Palace duo Jason Puncheon and Bakary Sako, as well as former Reading and Huddersfield midfielder Danny Williams.
He will take charge of Pafos for the first time when they face Larnaca on Saturday.
Toshack had been the joint mastermind behind Swansea's fantastic production in Landore, and along with Gary Richards brought through talents such as Oli McBurnie and Daniel James with the under-23s.
“I have loved my time at the club, but I felt on reflection that now was the right time to pursue a fresh challenge," said Toshack on the club's website.
“I have worked with some great people, learnt a lot from the staff and had fantastic support from the fans which I will be eternally grateful for.
“Having worked in the academy during such a successful period, I’m just pleased and proud to see so many youngsters progress into the first team set-up.
“I wish those players, staff, supporters and my home-town club all the very best for the future.’’
Swansea chairman Trevor Birch, said: “It goes without saying that we would like to thank Cameron for the work he has done with the club, especially the academy, over the last six years.
“The contribution he has made and the development of our young players will always be recognised, appreciated and remembered.
“I am sure he will be a success in his next challenge and everyone at the club wishes him good luck.’’
The Cypriot side are third from bottom with three wins from 12 games this term.
