Former Stewartry RFC youngster makes second successive start for Gloucester

Former Stewartry junior rugby player Alex Craig started his second match in a row for Gloucester in their 22-10 defeat away to Newcastle Falcons at the weekend.

Craig, who normally plays at number four, was given the role of flanker on Saturday but his hopes of an extended run in the team after an injury lay-off were derailed by the temporary suspension of the Heineken Champions Cup which was announced this week.

The suspension means that Gloucester Rugby will not travel to Ulster this week, or welcome Lyon to Kingsholm next weekend as originally scheduled.
