Former Steelers WR Antonio Brown says he’s done playing in the NFL

Take this one for what it’s worth but as of Sunday morning, it seems that former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is done playing in the NFL. This is what he said in the above tweet shared by ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter. Brown even went so far as to compare his situation to that of New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft and the trouble he has himself in. The Patriots released Brown earlier in the week amid allegations of more sexual wrongdoing by Brown as well as some threatening text messages.

Brown’s beef seems to center around all that guaranteed money he’s now not going to get. In Brown’s world he feels like no matter how often he does wrong, he should still be paid. He is also attempting to elicit help and sympathy from the NFLPA in his cause. It remains to be seen where Brown lands next if anywhere but it is a stretch to think the Patriots or Oakland Raiders are going to have to pay Brown after his antics.

But let’s not forget. This is all Big Ben’s fault.
