Over the course of the last week, former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch dealt with a significant health scare. Batch posted on his Twitter on Wednesday he was close to 100 percent after spending some time in the hospital earlier in the week.
At some point during a busy week of travel Batch including Mexico and Saint Vincent College, picked up a nasty bacterial infection — possibly E coli—that landed him in the hospital for treatment for the infection as well as severe dehydration.
As someone who had a child get Sepsis from a similar infection, I understand how dangerous this situation can be and I’m so glad to see Batch is getting back to normal and feeling better.
