Former Steeler Rashard Mendenhall takes exception to being one of the worst Steelers picks under Kevin Colbert

Former Pittsburgh Steelers running Rashard Mendenhall has never been one to shy away from speaking his mind. Mendenhall took to Twitter on Friday because he took exception to an article written by Post-Gazette writer Ed Bouchette. Bouchette listed the five best and five worst first-round draft picks by general manager Kevin Colbert.

Bouchette had Mendenhall as the No. 4 worst pick behind guys like Jarvis Jones, Artie Burns and Ziggy Hood. He also had Mendenhall ahead of Bud Dupree. Mendenhall definitely didn’t feel like he should be there and pointed out a few reasons why.

We went back through the 19 first-round picks Colbert has had and honestly it was tough not to include Mendenhall on the list. I’d absolutely have put Dupree ahead of him but this is more about how well Colbert has drafted than any shot at Mendenhall. In fact the only other name I might include on the list is wide receiver Plaxico Burress.

Who your five worst first-round picks under Colbert? Does Mendenhall make the cut? Let us know.
