Former Steeler James Harrison jokes about coming out of retirement

No Pittsburgh Steeler was better at sacking the quarterback than linebacker James Harrison. His 80.5 career sacks are most in franchise history. But Harrison hung up his cleats at the end of the 2017 season after finishing his career unceremoniously with the New England Patriots. It would have great to see Harrison finish his career with the team that gave him a chance in the first place.

Watching Harrison’s workout videos on social media, there’s no doubt he could suit up and play if he wanted to. This is why his little joke about coming out of retirement to play with Denver Broncos edge Von Miller he might only be half-joking.

Harrison spent 14 seasons with the Steelers and despite going undrafted and being cut multiple times, he never stopped working on his way to being one of the best Steelers defenders of all time.
