Former Steeler Antonio Brown says he’s not playing unless he wears his old helmet

The NFL continues to make strides in uniform technology to help make the game safer for players. But don’t tell Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown this. The former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver is reportedly making the NFL equivalent of “I’m taking my ball and going home” with his move to demand he gets to wear his old helmet in spite of the upgrade.

According to ESPN reporter, Brown met with the league for two hours on Friday to make his demands to get to wear his old helmet instead of the newer, safer one. The rumor is Brown has gone so far as to say he won’t play again if he cannot wear his old helmet.

This is the most Antonio Brown thing Antonio Brown could do. He is the ultimate petulant child and his massive, yet fragile ego completely overtakes him at times. At least he doesn’t have to worry about what helmet he wears right now as he’s still recovering from a self-induced cryotherapy mishap that resulted in his feet being frostbitten.
