Former St Mirren striker Danny Mullen moves on after penning deal with Dundee

Former Buddies striker Danny Mullen has found a new home after signing for Dundee.

The pacey forward found opportunities difficult to come by last season in Paisley after falling down the pecking order under Jim Goodwin.

He has now penned a two-year deal with Championship side Dundee and will wear the number nine shirt.

The 25-year-old made 22 appearances for the Saints last season, bagging four goals including two Premiership strikes against Hearts and St Johnstone.

Danny helped fire the Saints to the Championship title in 2018, and the Dee will be hoping he can repeat the feat this season.

Speaking after his release by the Paisley club in June, he said:  “The St Mirren fans were excellent with me and there are really good people who run the club.

“I have some really good memories from my time there. Leaving Livingston and then getting promoted in my first six months. And then helping us stay up last season against Dundee United is up there as well."
