Former Tottenham player and manager Glenn Hoddle says that there are 'four or five players' who won’t be at the club next season, and that is why the club are currently struggling.
Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen will all be able to leave the club on free transfers at the end of the season unless the situation changes over the coming months.
Spurs are enduring one of their toughest runs under Mauricio Pochettino’s guidance, currently sitting five points adrift of the Champions League places.
And Hoddle believes the north London club are paying the price for player unrest.
"There are four or five players there who know next season they are not going to be here," Hoddle told BT Sport prior to Spurs clash against Red Star.
"And if you know that as a human being then you are not going to go out and give absolutely everything.
"If there is a 50-50 there you are thinking about your future. Where will I be?
"If this club doesn't want me, the synergy of the club is completely different at the moment, on and off the pitch, it really is.
"These guys here, the owners, they want to be in the top four every season in this beautiful stadium.
"But the players and the manager now want to win silverware, I've said it before, the synergy isn't right.
