He has been heavily linked with the managerial vacancy at Queens Park Rangers, but Tim Sherwood has described talk of him getting the job as "speculation".
The former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager is among the favourites to succeed Steve McClaren as QPR boss, with the west London club looking for a new manager after parting company with the former England boss on Monday.
But while Sherwood did not rule himself out of contention for the job when speaking about being linked n BT Sport's Score programme.
“It is a difficult job, but it is also a fantastic football club," he said.
“If they have got realistic expectations for the future, it is an opportunity for someone to go in and it is something I would look at, but at the moment it is just speculation and a lot of talk."

Sherwood was speaking after QPR lost 4-0 against Championship league leaders Norwich City, leaving them with work to do in the battle to avoid relegation.
However, Sherwood said the result was no surprise to him.

“Norwich are absolutely flying at the moment and even with a confident side, that would have been difficult for QPR. Norwich are on fire," he said.
