Former SPL and Junior Cup winning striker Stewart Kean signs with amateur side

Stewart Kean has signed with amateur side Drongan United.

The former St Mirren, Ayr United, Queen of the South, Morton and Stenhousemuir striker had been out of football this season due to work, but he has penned a deal at the Division One amateur side Drongan.

The 36-year-old hitman played in the SPL with St Mirren after joining from Ayr.

He had most recently been playing at Blair Park with Hurlford United where he won the Junior Cup, but work commitments meant he couldn't commit to every game.

Drongan United posted on their Twitter: "We would like to welcome Stewart Kean to Drongan.

"He played at the highest level in Scotland. This is a massive signing for the club and everyone here is delighted to get him."
