Former Spartan Torey Krug lays massive hit in Stanley Cup Final

You may have missed it, and I hope you didn’t, but former MSU Spartan and current Boston Bruin Torey Krug flayed the biggest hit of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday night, and did it without wearing a helmet.

It’s hard to even start processing the mindset one would need to lose his helmet in the middle of a professional hockey game and then react to that by immediately skating as fast as he could down the eye like a heat-seeking missile and laying out the first person to get in his way. Hockey players, man. They’re just a different type of person.

The Bruins won 4-2 and lead the series 1-0.
