According to multiple reports, former Spartan Justin Layne was arrested on Friday morning near Cleveland, Ohio. The current Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback is being charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license, and a firearm violation.
This apparently happened late at night (or early in the morning…) at around 3 am.
Layne left Michigan State early after being named Second-team All-Big Ten in 2018. He was the No. 83 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He hasn’t made a huge splash for the Steelers yet but he did play in every game for them last season and has recorded 25 total tackles in his career. He is in line for a much bigger role with the Steelers this season.
