Former Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman, Malik McDowell, has found himself in trouble with the law once again. McDowell is now facing multiple new charges stemming from two incidents which occurred earlier this year, according to the Detroit Free News.
McDowell was first pulled over in February by the Lathrup Village Police on suspicion of driving under the influence. During the stop, McDowell is also alleged to have had an altercation with the two arresting officers.
Just two months later, McDowell was charged with receiving and concealing stolen property, which consisted of a $74,000 Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck he told police he had bought off the street.
McDowell is now scheduled to appear in the Oakland County Circuit Court on both charges.
These most recent criminal events aren’t McDowell’s first brushes with the law – he was first arrested for disorderly conduct in Atlanta in 2017. In addition, the Seahawks are current suing McDowell in federal court for repayment of part of his signing bonus.
