Former Seahawk Kasen Williams among those at XFL Dallas showcase

Former Seattle Seahawks receiver Kasen Williams joined Christine Michael and a laundry list of other former NFL players at the XFL Dallas showcase, in an attempt to resurrect his playing career in the new league.

Williams, 26, is from nearby Sammamish and starred at the University of Washington before joining the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2015.

He only appeared in three games for the Seahawks during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, however, hauling in one reception for eight yards and rushing once for five yards. He was released and eventually caught on with the Brown for the 2017 season, where he had nine receptions for 84 yards.

After getting cut by the Colts just before the start of the 2018 season, Williams was out of the NFL. He will look to make his way back into professional football via the XFL, the second start-up professional football league in as many seasons, after the AAF only managed to last one season before folding.

The XFL is set to begin in February of 2020, with team’s located in Dallas, Houston, DC, Los Angeles, New York, Tampa, St. Louis and Seattle.
