Report: Former Seahawk Dion Jordan suspended 10 games for Adderall use

Former Seattle Seahawks defensive end Dion Jordan, who is a free agent, is facing a 10-game suspension from the league for use of the drug Adderall, according to a report from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Jordan previously had an exception from the NFL to take Adderall for his prescribed attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, but his therapeutic use exemption had expired, leading to the suspension.

“I made a mistake,” Jordan told Pelissero by phone on Tuesday. “I feel like the person that I am, I’m ready to move forward, I’ve been ready to move forward, with this specific issue. I’ve been working really hard with myself outside of football, and I can see the progress as a young man, as Dion Jordan, I can see it.”

Jordan was previously suspended for four games in 2013, and multiple positive tests after that led to a full-season suspension in 2015. Since then, Jordan vowed to get sober, which he said he has been for more than two years.
