Former Seahawk Brandon Browner facing more legal troubles

Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner is serving an eight-year prison sentence for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, who has filed a civil lawsuit against him, alleging multiple incidents of domestic violence.

Per TMZ, the incidents in question date back to as early as 2016.

“The details are harrowing — Browner’s ex claims he broke into her place through a window, dragged her back into the house, smothered her face into the carpet to the point she almost lost consciousness … and then brought her and their two kids out to the living room to petrify them further,” according to TMZ.

Browner was later arrested and booked on charges, which ultimately resulted in his no-contest plea and conviction.

The Seahawks first signed the former Canadian Football League All-Star to the squad in 2011 and he remained in Seattle for three seasons, earning a Super Bowl ring. Browner spent the following two years with the Patriots — winning another Super Bowl ring — and Saints before re-signing with the Seahawks in 2016. He was released before the season.
