Former Scottish Widows director joins investment manager Hargreaves Lansdown

Former Scottish Widows director Andrea Blance has joined the board of investment manager Hargreaves Lansdown.

Blance, who chaired the Risk Committee of the Lloyds Group pensions and insurance arm, becomes an independent non-executive director along with Moni Mannings.

Former Legal & General executive Blance is also senior independent director at Provident Financial and a non-executive director at The Mentoring Foundation. She was previously senior Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair at and ReAssure Group Plc and a member of William & Glyn's pre-IPO board.

Mannings is a banking and finance solicitor who was senior partner of Olswang LLP and is currently a senior independent director at Investec Bank and a non-executive director of EasyJet plc and Breedon Group.

Both will take up their new roles on September 1.

Deanna Oppenheimer, chair of Hargreaves Lansdown, said: "I'm delighted to welcome both Andrea and Moni to the Group Board. Both bring exceptional experience at executive and non-executive director level and will continue to strengthen the skills and diversity of the Group Board."
