Former Saints RB Mark Ingram II joins College Football on Fox team

Former New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram II has found his first post-football job, joining the Fox College Football team as announced on the Fox Sports PR Twitter account.

The Saints-to-TV desk has been a growing trend as Ingram follows in the foot steps of Drew Brees and Sean Payton in joining the analyst ranks out of the NFL. Hopefully the future is brighter for Ingram, with neither Brees or Payton making it past one season. Payton, of course, did leave his television job to return to coaching.

Ingram spent 12 years in the NFL, 10 in New Orleans, rushing for over 8,000 career yards and 65 career touchdowns. Despite how good he was in the NFL, he might be even more qualified as a College Football Analyst with his career at Alabama. He was the first ever Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama, winning the BCS national championship that year as well.
