Former Rocotillos restaurant on Clifton Triangle goes up for sale

A long-running restaurant in a prominent location which closed earlier this year has gone on the market.

Rocotillos was a favourite among many Bristolians after opening in 1993, with sites on Clifton Triangle and Gloucester Road.

But on February 6 its owner confirmed both restaurants had closed in a statement shared on social media, in which he thanked those who had supported the business over the years.

On Thursday, March 12, the former Bristol institution's site on Clifton Triangle has gone on the market, presenting a fantastic opportunity for a hopeful business owner.

It is being marketed by Fleurets on a nil premium basis, which means the new owner will not have to pay a fee when they take over the reins, although it comes with an annual rent guide of £27,500 per year.

Fleurets described the location of the premises as "one of the strongest leisure pitches within Bristol" due to the high footfall of the area.

The listing reads: "The property occupies a highly prominent position on Bristol's sought after Clifton Triangle.

"The Triangle is one of the strongest leisure pitches within Bristol with high footfall both throughout the daytime and evening due to the proximity to the University of Bristol and the office population surrounding.

"The Triangle has a number of corporate and independent bars and restaurants including the likes of Browns, Bill's, Wahaca, Be at One, London Cocktail Club and many others.

"The property occupies a prominent junction location with significant passing trade."
