Former Rockets coach Roy Rogers joins Bulls staff

Highly experienced coach Roy Rogers has landed a three-year deal with the Chicago Bulls.

Rogers, who is 45-years-old, had just spent his last three seasons with the Houston Rockets under Mike D’Antoni.

He will serve in the same position in Chicago as he did in Houston, as an assistant coach. The Rockets parted ways with him late last month in the midst of a wild and shocking exodus of multiple coaches.

The former power forward played for the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets. Rogers also had a few seasons playing abroad before joining the world of coaching as an assistant 2013 for the Brooklyn Nets.
